Women are not glad if they are given food and make up, they prefer to get money, gift certificates or holiday tours. Russian women appreciate expensive jewelry, watches, perfume and holiday tours. In Europe a husband can only present his wife a CD or a book, what can’t occur in Russia.

A Russian family is going to spend €480 for the New Year’s Day celebrations, the holiday dinner is to take €128, entertainments are to cost €94, and the rest €258 are to be paid for the presents. The holiday expenses vary in different countries from €1431 in Ireland, €1007 in Britain up to €420 in Germany.
